how to remove older version automatic when installing new one

hi i am using vs 2008

i create a setup of my C# application ...

its running fine...

but if i make any changes and create setup once again ...
then how can i uninstall my older application and install new one by running setup...

Please suggest me...

Solution 1

This is just a setting in the setup file, so long as your new version installer is built off your old one ( so it knows they are related )

Solution 3

In the setup project properties,
set "DetectNewerInstalledVersion" to true.

It will prompt you to uninstall older version before installing new version of the same software.
