What are the main advantages of Knockout java script library with MVC 3

Today i was looking into Knockout java-script library, i not able to understand the main benefits of Knockout java-script file with MVC 3.
Can anyone help me on this issue ??

The main benefit would be that it is easier to do more complex stuff on the client side.

Thanks very much Varun for such a prompt reply.
I already read this but still i am not clear means suppose i have a small MVC application, in that app i have 10 properties in my model .
Now same 10 properties i have to create in my javascript also to bind the data.
So why i am writing extra code in javascript file ?
