how to get slashes automatically when user enters mm/dd/yyyy in html textbox

Hi,
I have a html textbox to accept date(mm/dd/yyyy) from the user.
but slashes should come automatically as soon as when the user enters mm,dd,.......
Any help on this is appreciated.
