Code for reading scanned data in grid without button click

Hi,
Using C# and windows application I have been able to scann barcode uing USB 2D scanner and populate it in grid on button click. But i want to do this without the button click event so that on successive scan of barcode the grid gets populated directly. Can anybody provide the code for this

Using timer the problem is solved but for variable lenghth barcode the lastcharbarcodereadtime is not working
