i have bind a text box to the grid and if i write a code in textbox keydown or grid key keydown ,the event is not firing?

Probably you've done it wrong, could you please provide us the code you've used to make that link and how you are handling the event capture?

Are you using java-script? If yes then check for any java-script errors.
Can you post some code?
