Do we have text ,xml or varchar(max) datatype in Sybase ?
My Requirement is to declare a datatype which accepts xml value with maximum size.

Yes, as per documentations, text datatype does exist.

Here: text datatype[^]
The text datatype stores up to 2,147,483,647 bytes of printable characters on linked lists of separate data pages. Each page stores a maximum of 1800 bytes of data.

we are using sybase version (Adaptive Server Enterprise/15.5/EBF 19397 SMP ESD#5/P/ia64/HP-UX B.11.23/asear155/2568/64-bit/FBO/Fri) . The text datatype is supported only while creating table . But it cannot be used as Stored procedure parameter.

I am not sure of that, but documentation looks good enough to point that out.
