A mail Storage which can store all the mails incoming mails in the mail server

I need urgent suggestions and help as i am trying to make an windows service that can receive all the incoming Emails directly sent by any user and can store them regardless of any Email Server present? Is socket programming enough to achieve this or there is any way to achieve this?

I had great success by using Independentsoft's components for reading mails from any mailservers (pop3, imap and Exchange)
It's not free, but It could save you a lot of time
