SQL replication doubts

Just now i read SQL REPLICATION link

Its a superb link for understanding purpose, but after going through it i had some doubts in my mind, i thought lets just ask and see if somebody can help..

1. Lets say i am using pull replication, what happens if this replication doesn't get commited or it gets half commited. is there a way to know this, can i send email to someone if this job gets failed.

2. Lets say as a subscriber i just want to read data from distributor but it should be replicated at every day at morning 5, what i should do.

3. or if not possible which action user should take to run this think at every day 5 morning.

4. Which replication strategy well suits my scenario, if i just need to read data every morning 5 and show that data on my front end.

Please help me...

It will be better if you can add one comment in that article only, so that the author will directly answer your doubts. Otherwise it will take time here, as all of us, who don't know the concept, has to go through the article and then answer you.

So, I suggest you to go ahead and post a comment there.

DON'T SHOUT. Using all capitals is considered shouting on the internet, and rude (using all lower case is considered childish). Use proper capitalisation if you want to be taken seriously.

It was not mean't to Shout, i thought my subject is small so i should write it in capitals, i didn't know capital means shouting, i didn't mean that at all, still if you feel i was shouting, then sorry for that.

It's basic Netiquette: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etiquette_(technology)
And it applies pretty much everywhere on the net, not just here.

Solution 1

Don't post this under Quick Answers - if you got the code from an article, then there is a "new message" button at the bottom of that article, which causes an email to be sent to the author. They are then alerted that you wish to speak to them.
Posting this here relies on them "dropping by" and realising it is for them.
