Handle the RowDataBound event of the grid, find the row by checking you condition, if found you can disable the controls withing the row, or set the disabled(gray) bgcolor to the row as per your requirement.

Its another solution, u can remove row from dataset which u binding to gridview. before binding.

e.g. ds.Tables[0].Rows.RemoveAt(1);
