How to select a row in gridview by selecting the checkboxes?

I have displayed checkboxes in a gridview control.I want to select some rows from the gridview control by checking the checkboxes and then when I click the select button those rows must be moved to another table in the database.And also is there any way to highlight the selected row in the gridview control?
