Gosh - do you have any idea at all ? You want him to use AJAX to delete records using a webservice call ?

This is dumb. Your business layer should exist outside of the page, unless your whole design is an utter disaster. Call your business layer to delete records, don't force a page to load to complete the task.

Can any one tell how to pass arguments for this code in the place of "path=?".

In anchor tag for the place of ? symbol. The whole code is not copy.

use Response.Redirect("Yourpage.aspx?path=sss");
now get the value of path within yourpage.aspx using Request.QueryString["path"]

S. But my question is how to supply the value for the "path" dynamically using "?" mark

Hmm. A URL is a string. I'd probably use that as a starting point and consider maybe, just possibly, concatenating some kind of string that looks like a URL together. Including a ? at some point.

Just use String or StringBuilder. Append Text. Add with path.

String.Format("myurl?path={0}", thePath)

Did you ever heard that there is a difference between a control and property?
Karthick_gc wrote: How to find the value for Smtp server and what to fill in that control?
Do you have any any idea what a SMTP Server is?
If you have a machine with SMTP Server configured, specify the nsame of that machine or its IP address.

I have a unique id in my database that takes the form "EQ0001".
I want to split the id after the "EQ" part so i'm left with "EQ" in one part and "0001" in another. The "0001" will then be incremented by one and added back to the "EQ" thus giving "EQ0002".
If anyone can help its much appreciated.
|
|
|
|
|
Why not you use substring function.
string s = EQ0001;
string s1 = s.Substring(0, 2) ans - EQ ;
string s1 = s.Substring(3, 4) ans - 0001;
try this if you want to change string value in coding .

You might want to consider creating two fields in your database, one to handle the text part and the other to handle the auto incrementing numeric field.
Gives you a bit of flexibility for the point when you suddenly have your 10000th EQ...
