Hi,
I am drawing a line pDC->Line(...) in my view 1.. suppose there are 3 more views for the same document are open . The views which are referencing same area as view 1 should also reflect the rubberband effect as I go on placing the line. now current effect if.. first I complete the placement of line
in view 1 then I call GetDocument()->UpdateAllViews(NULL, 0, NULL); so the line reflects in other views aswell. I want to see the line placement in all views as its in progress. How I may achieve it. calling UpdateAllViews in MouseMove event may not have irritating effect.
any idea?

your program may read/write the protected memory, so the windows let you restart your program.
Good luck;)

Run your program in the debugger and Visual Studio will break when the exception is generated.

I have compiled one application for 64 bit processor. it works fine in 64 bit processor. but not work 32 bit processor . why is it not working ?.how to resolve it.

If you target a 64 bit processor it will not work on a 32 bit one because you will likely use features that don't exist on 32 bit processors such as 64 bit registers. The 64 bit processor's features are a superset of the 32 bit processor's features; this implies that the 32 bit processor's features are a subset of the 64 bit processors. As such you can only expect compatibility in one direction.

On top of Steve's answer, the executable file tells Windows whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit, and 32-bit Windows will only run 32-bit executables.

Any body pls tel me...How can i get the handle of a dialog which is cretaed by calling DoModal or Create()?

You mean MFC's CDialog 's member functions DoModal and Create ? The class has a member variable called m_hWnd which can be access directly or by calling the member function GetSafeHwnd .

Search in the MSDN for following functions:
1. LoadLibrary : Loading the library in the process
2. GetProcAddress : Get the address of a function
3. FreeLibrary : Un-mapped the library

You need to add it as a reference to your project.

What database access technology are you using? Can you show the code which reads the column in question?

Put that ByteBuffer in COleDateTime, and using it GetDay... function get CString object using CString::Format function

Or you can just call COleDateTime::Format() to do the formatting for you...

I have created a bitmap (8X8)pixels. It is designed to show diagonal lines.
Using this bitmap i have created a Pattern brush and using that brush i have drawn one rectangle. But the problem is that What i see in the OnScreen cannot be same in printout. The diagonal lines are too closer.I think it is due to number of pixels per inch in Screen varies with Printer
