Yes seems it will do; since im new to this i cant exactle identify what are all the parameters which i need to send.
byte resultArray __gc[] = new byte __gc[1];
Consider i have bytes in the above variable now how can i get my encoded string.
|
|
|
|
|
byte is nothing but unsigned char ,
So the first parameter [in] in my function is resultArray __gc,
Second paramter is output paramter ,
Third paramter is sizeof the resultArray __gc.
Is it clear now ???

here is a small example
const wchar_t* pwcTemp = L"Some text\0";
int nLength = _tcslen(pwcTemp );
char* pMultiByte = new char[nLength];
WideCharToMultiByte( CP_ACP, 0, pwcTemp, nLength,pMultiByte, nLength,0,0 );
But I am not familier with the __gc.
in ur case u should replace the pwcTemp with the resultArray

Hi,
I have a program, which has a timer and dialog.
Program purpose is to set the window on top most and active in a specified interval.
Problem is that the dialog is getting on the top most. That is ok.
But not getting activated ( No focus ).
Please see the code:
void CTestSetWPosDlg::OnTimer( UINT nIDEvent )
{
CDialog::OnTimer( nIDEvent );
SYSTEMTIME stSystemTime;
GetLocalTime( &stSystemTime );
CString csTime;
csTime.Format( "%d:%d", stSystemTime.wMinute, stSystemTime.wSecond );
SetWindowText( csTime.operator LPCTSTR());
SetWindowPos( &wndTopMost, 0, 0, 0, 0, SWP_NOMOVE | SWP_NOSIZE | SWP_ASYNCWINDOWPOS );
SetActiveWindow();
}

you should get the return value of SetActiveWindow.if the return value is null,it means failure.then you can call GetLastError and get the error code.you can use the error lookup tool to get the reason for the failure.
|
|
|
|
|
SetActivateWindow function returns the same window handle

are you sure?that means your window is active.
|
|
|
|
|
maybe you can use SetFocus.
|
|
|
|
|
Tried.
Still dialog has no focus.

try to use the SetForegroundWindow.

Icon in the task bar is flashing...

SetForegroundWindow() is working fine in my sample application. SetActiveWindow() only activates the window if the calling thread is foreground thread. Please see the KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=97925

Hi, i would like to use this function but it keeps comming up with undeclared identifier ?? how can i get rid of this ??
Thanks

It's guarded by a compile guard...
#if(WINVER >= 0x0500)
WINUSERAPI
BOOL
WINAPI
AnimateWindow(
HWND hWnd,
DWORD dwTime,
DWORD dwFlags);
#endif /* WINVER >= 0x0500 */
So identify the correct windows version.
Probably #define WINVER 0x0500

Hi,
We are having some query regarding window2K.
I have an application that is working well in WindowXP Enviornment from last 3 year.This application is using VC++6.0 compiler for building application.
Now I have shifted this application building process from VC++6.0 compiler to VC++7.0.Net compiler.Now its working well in WindowXP environment.
But Its having some crashes while executing the application in Windows2K environment.
I read from some of the sites that we need to install Win2k in the following order for shifting application to Win2k.
1. Install Win2K
2.Service Pack 4(SP4)
3.Windows Installer 3.1.
4. copy vcredist_x86 file in Visual studio environment.
Is this neccesary to install software in the order as given above for proper execution of the code in Win2K environment?
or is there some other problem.?
Please reply as soon as possible.

Well I am not sure? Just having a go at it.
What version of windows is mentioned during compile time of the application. Is the correct version specified. I guess you compiled it for XP right!
Why don't you try recompiling it in 2K environment.

Hi mate - Its a funny world. You have a problem for a few days so you post a question on a forum. Suddenly, you solve the problem - just like going to the doctor. You suffer anmd suffer, then you go their and u feel better just befopre appointment.
Sorry pal - i have removed the question. The solution was that a release operation on a bad pointer was omehow affecting the reference count of other objects.
Thx,
John-Paul

Why did you remove the question! It should have been there. It's very bad that people post question and when they get the answer they delete it. Someone else could have learned from your mistake. Imagine everybody here doing it.
Now even if you are specifying the solution here people won't know what you are talking about. No problem anyway.
