Some clueless clickbait writer drooled: NASA scientists are exploring a peculiar strategy for building a Moon base and other off-world structures: growing them onsite out of living mushrooms.
The space agency first considered the possibility of fungal space habitats in 2018, but now scientists are conducting tests to determine how well mycelia fungus might grow in Martian soil, Space.com reports....
The idea is to ship dormant fungus to a Moon base and, once it arrives, give it water and the right conditions to trigger growth, according to a NASA press release. That would also require a supply of photosynthetic bacteria to provide the fungus with nutrients. Once the fungus grows into the shape of a structure, it would be heat-treated, effectively killing it and turning it into a compact brick.

When users log into Windows 7 today, they should not be surprised if they see a full-screen alert telling them that the operating system is no longer supported, they are vulnerable to viruses, and that they should upgrade to Windows 10 to fix all of these issues. If you can't get them to upgrade, bug them until they install Linux

Dumpgrading to winio won't fix anything of the kind.
The shift of malware attacks has already moved over to the winio side of the chart from the weven, so you are more likely to be attacked by malware producers if you use winio. Describing that as "less vulnerable to viruses" is total, crude, and blatant deceptive behaviour.

Yes, you're quite correct. Moving to an OS that has update patches to keep you constantly updated against new threats makes you more vulnerable than using an OS that is no longer updated.

My Win10 updates all the time and works after all the time. Suggesting such a fundamental and oft used feature is habitually broken when it clearly isn't is a pretty weak argument.

This elephanting thing has had the HDD from the last laptop chucked into it since it decided to do an upgrade one night when unplugged and nearly flat. At least it's immunized against threats.
Though to be honest, it would be nicer if it were both impervious and still functioning correctly...

Seriously, the full page notice is garish and designed to alarm you... I saw it like 5 times the other day due to all my VMs.
