imho remarkable example of AI generated images.

"The Frost nails its uncanny, disconcerting vibe in its first few shots. Vast icy mountains, a makeshift camp of military-style tents, a group of people huddled around a fire, barking dogs. It’s familiar stuff, yet weird enough to plant a growing seed of dread. There’s something wrong here.
Welcome to the unsettling world of AI moviemaking. The Frost is a 12-minute movie from Detroit-based video creation company Waymark in which every shot is generated by an image-making AI. It’s one of the most impressive—and bizarre—examples yet of this strange new genre."

As a long-time fan of VAX/VMS and OpenVMS -- as several of the members here are -- I was (mildly) excited by the idea that VMS Software, Inc. (VSI) was porting it to x86. And yesterday I received an E-mail announcing that it is ready.
"
We are excited to announce the availability of VSI OpenVMS V9.2 for x86-64, first production release that runs on VMware, KVM, and VirtualBox.
"
"
What is OpenVMS on x86
VMS Software, Inc. has migrated OpenVMS and its layered products to the industry standard x86_64 architecture to help customers protect their investment in OpenVMS infrastructure, especially in virtualized environments and in the cloud. OpenVMS V9.2 is now available to all VMS Software, Inc. customers; VMS Software, Inc. is working on the next version which will support even more environments and products.

CPU Requirements
Intel x86 CPU
64-bit Instruction set
NX processor bit (NX)
Streaming SIMD Extensions 4.1 (SSE4.1)
Virtualization Technology (VT-x)
XSAVE instructions
Time Stamp Counter (TSC)
Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller (APIC)
Memory Type Range Registers (MTRR)
Most Intel CPUs from 2016 and later support these processor features.

I don't think I have any CPUs from 2016 or later. I also don't generally use virtual machines, and I'm unsure whether or not it can boot directly on PC hardware.

Well, I'll sure as heck give it a spin. The major player in VAX emulation (as compared to the title) is a little slack in handling very simple things.

Personally, I'm just wondering whether or not this is Virtual only and does that mean it's more of an emulator itself.
It is at least developed by they who are charged with maintaining OpenVMS, which bodes well.

Cloud incident response company Mitiga has released research on a significant forensic security deficiency in Google Workspace that enables threat actors to exfiltrate data in Google Drive without any trace. Did they cancel the security features?
|

They didn't have any. Google's security features are really honest user irritants.

why I would never depend on anything in the cloud. When it comes to security, convenience is a recipe for disaster. I suspect if a skilled (correction - psychotic) attorney reviewed the terms of service it would observe google of any wrong doing. Filed under the "Oops" clause.

This is a three day Rust course developed by the Android team. The course covers the full spectrum of Rust, from basic syntax to advanced topics like generics and error handling. It probably also works for Crab

Can I write DOOM after taking the course?

We need better data! If only everyone could carry a high-quality camera and apps to share pics... "So you're telling me there's a chance?"

So they're finding 2 to 5% of sightings to be UFOs in the most basic definition of unidentified. This is still 16 to 40 sightings.

But are they flying? And do they object?

Amazon: but didn't admit violating any laws. Then all is good. They haven't done anything wrong /s

As detailed in the following patent: https://www.aclunc.org/docs/Amazon_Patent.pdf
They also have a patent for delivery drones to work in conjunction with Ring cameras to supply police departments with live video feeds. I forget the name of the patent and am in too much of a rush to look right now.
