Cool. Never heard of him I've heard of Bucks Fizz?

Never heard of Bucks Fizz either, but after searching for it, it may not have anything in common
Buckshot LeFonque (band name) was an attempt by Branford Marsalis to mix jazz, soul, rock & hip-hop musics alltogether.

I started out coding, eventually had juniors join me, but from scratch, in VB6 (C# was not yet released), on South Africa's first online mortgage origination and real estate listing system. It became so successful that it was investigate by our Competition Commission as the was possible collusion with all the big banks to use only my system.
It was also my very first paid gig, and when I finished there, some two years later, I started work at bank, on their application that receives mortgage applications from my old system. Then I rewrote the app from VB6 into C#.

Even though I know I'm going to be flamed for this, one of the most memorable gigs was Nickelback, 2008 at RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin. Basically a mid-size tent on a parking lot, wonderful crowd, beer, and excellent rock.

Why would anyone want to flame you for expressing what you like?

Because it doesn't align exactly with my own likes, and therefore his opinion is invalid... is this your first time on the internet?

It reminds me of the definition of selfish:
selfish: defines someone who does not think of me.

I don't feel the need for the smiley; I did not think you were actually serious (in your reply).

Nickelback are basically Def Leppard with good ballads. I saw them in the USA, it was a great show. The only time I ever caught a pick mid air

Motorhead at the Odeon, Hammersmith, on the Bomber tour was pretty "Whoah!".
The lighting rig, shaped like a WWII bomber, looked terrific. When they played Bomber and the rig started diving, banking and turning, you just thought, "oh, yes!". Then the rig's nose landed, Lemmy climbed into it, and it started climbing and flying again while Lemmy continued paying the bass, curly cable hanging down to his amps. Health and Safety? Ha!.

I hate your guts....
I saw them a couple of times, the only full headline show i saw, had terrible sound. I still have an oversize pick signed by Phil. I am still in shock that he died.... I went to his grave in LA and saw the statue at the Rainbow.

My recollection is that the sound wasn't as bad as you might have expected, but that could be roughly 40 years of memory myopia. Certainly not the loudest band I saw at about that time - that honour goes to Siouxsie and the Banshees at the Music Machine, Camden (now KoKo, just gone up in smoke this week).

ELO at LCA in Detroit 2018. Just sooo good. Went back for more in 2019 and took some young, impressionable, relatives for a rock and roll brain cleansing.

Imagine what you saw, but in an indoor arena.
Foo Fighters the other year was good, but more for 3 hour, loads of songs I knew.

Springsteen in Paris in 1988; it was the time that he began a relationship with backup singer Patti Scialfa and they where so in love that we felt it also in the audience.

Crash Worship at a small venue in Los Angeles, circa 1995. A real, honest-to-god experience. Not a single bit of chemistry or herbs in my system, but high as a kite on the experience.
U2 at the Meadowlands Arena in NJ, circa 1986. Bono knows how to work an audience!

Mary Chapin Carpenter re-wrote several of her iconic songs with orchestral music. Saw her sing them with the Seattle Symphony. Hands down the most mesmerizing musical experience of my life.
