You got a bit too far...I'm sure he can find answers much closer than that...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Yup, I knew I should have added section to the title!
Is there a better place than the lounge?
Thanks Maximilien, Cinder and openFrameworks where already on my radar due to Herb Sutters graphics challenge. It is more the audio side that I don't know where to look, both with Frameworks with audio extraction and knowledge on how to process the data.
Please suggest any books on audio processing that might be helpful, as well as any possible frameworks that have some of the necessary tools that might simplify the task.

Nope. There's no place better than the lounge. Admittedly it stinks of bacon and gin at times, but when you've nothing to do there's no better place to do it.*

A man was driving when a traffic camera flashed.
He thought his picture was taken for exceeding the speed limit, even though he knew he was not speeding.
Just to be sure, he went around the block and passed the same spot, driving even more slowly, but again the camera flashed.
He thought this was quite funny, so he slowed down even further as he drove past the area, but the traffic camera flashed yet again.
He tried a fourth time with the same result. The fifth time he was laughing when the camera flashed as he rolled past at a snail's pace.
Two weeks later, he got five notifications in the mail, of traffic fines for driving without a seat belt.

I know this is a joke but I am still not sure how can camera trigger for seatbelt violation?

I am still unsure how it can detect black seatbelt in front of black jacket or scarf etc..
Anyway that's the monster camera.

Now, what happens if the seat belt and the person's shirt have the same color and blend in?

Strictly speaking it doesn't need a trigger for that. You could simply photograph every car that passes irrespective of speed. In time, if it's not already secretly in place, a detection device that automatically triggers cameras and other detection devices when the belt is not properly engaged will no doubt be an essential part of the driver's seatbelt.

Easy to circumvent: my dad hates seatbelts (fortunately he pressed me to properly use them and now I can't drive comfortably without them, except on hot summer days) so he engage them before seating. That way the weight sensor on the seat detects the driver, the engaging detector signals ok and that terrible buzzer stops beeping

Today i rode the first time this year by bike to get to work. Lungs were acheing and the pump was working faster. Only 3,5 km i have to ride but on the way to work i have some nasty rise to cope with. I feel im totally out of shape cause i needed ~23 min to get to work, the 2 traffic lights included.

It'll be easier on the way home - it's downhill this time - which should encourage you to do it again tomorrow?
BTW: Do you have showers at work?

You'd be surprised how many people don't think of that - and stinky cow-orkers aren't a lot of fun!

Unlike stinky -orkers.

It's also a question on how "cycle-friendly" your workplace is. I used to work for a company where they had on-site bike racks (even with video surveillance), changing rooms and even showers just in case so you could ride there in your bike wear and change into your suit or whatever appropriate clothing just for the workday. I'd call that really progressive, given the fact that most cars rides (I heard up to 95% here in Germany) are about 7 km or less(!), it makes sense to encourage people to go by bike instead of wasting fuel and a lot of time in traffic jams (which is pretty likely in the city where I live at the moment). It's good for your health, good for the environment.
To the original poster: I think it's always like that. The biggest obstacle is to get started, after all, but after you mastered that, it'll get better and better every day.

I am as fast on a bike as most of my friends who jogg. Seriously, they run 10km in less than 45min, I need about that much time to ride the same distance.
