Hi, Bitnomi or Bitnami... I couldn't find any site as Bitnomi, but if you are talking about bitnami.com, I have used their stacks a couple of times and never had any problem about malware nor virus. Please could you give us more information about your warning? what software you downloaded?
Cheers, J

After a couple of reboots Windows 10 just completed its latest mega-update, and everything (Chrome included) is working normally. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

The huge chunk that you installed as "update" is a flavor of Linux with Windows 10 UI theme. Your machine just drank the panacea!

I had to get up at 2 AM this morning to catch a flight. I plugged in the laptop to copy some videos for flight and it started applying updates (Grrrr...WTF). Then, android pushed some update which I accepted thinking I will do updates before copy. I only managed to get data copied 10 minutes before the cab was supposed to come.

Sure.
The update failed and rolled back, but MS's new policy is to not confess to errors like that, so they'll try again when you're asleep.

My desktop wouldn't boot today - no pre-POST beep, no keyboard lights, no display - just drives spinning up.
Deep joy. Pretty sure it's the PSU - it's only a dinky little thing on this, and it may well be that the new SSD and multiport SATA card I fitted in Feb have pulled it over the edge - particularly since I managed to get it to boot by unplugging the DVD and data HDD drives.
Oh...elephant...new PSU time - and that means hassle because a standard PSU won't fit in that space, so it's a new case as well. It's currently working fine, with just the DVD drive unplugged but it's in bits all over my desk!
A quick check online, and it's only a 200W PSU - so it's quite possible I've been stressing it for a while since the graphics card alone is around 100W
Oops...must get a current clamp adapter for my multimeter...

Even if you had to get an external PSU, you should be able to put in in a case of some sort and graft the cables in
