My desktop wouldn't boot today - no pre-POST beep, no keyboard lights, no display - just drives spinning up.
Deep joy. Pretty sure it's the PSU - it's only a dinky little thing on this, and it may well be that the new SSD and multiport SATA card I fitted in Feb have pulled it over the edge - particularly since I managed to get it to boot by unplugging the DVD and data HDD drives.
Oh...elephant...new PSU time - and that means hassle because a standard PSU won't fit in that space, so it's a new case as well. It's currently working fine, with just the DVD drive unplugged but it's in bits all over my desk!
A quick check online, and it's only a 200W PSU - so it's quite possible I've been stressing it for a while since the graphics card alone is around 100W 
Oops...must get a current clamp adapter for my multimeter...

Even if you had to get an external PSU, you should be able to put in in a case of some sort and graft the cables in

You can't even parse a simple English program very well. What makes you think the computer (as programmed by people) will do better?

Easiest is probably a standard case with 500W PSU, and swap the whole guts over. It's an Acer half height at the moment, but it looks like uATX format M/B and having a full height case would reduce the Heath Robinson factor in there to a more "coherent" level. I'm looking at cases and PSU's now.

The sole reason, I ditched all Desktops I had. I had a bunch of them at home and at work. I just hate fiddling with this particular issue. Sheer time waster. I started disliking Desktops very much, long ago.

That's even weaker than my wives old dell desktop. She bought it because it was no hassle... 
Then she found it wasn't good enough for her games she wanted to play so I got a GPU since it only had integrated. Then there was the little problem of lacking connectors of sufficient size of the psu. Was a 350W but only had a few 4pin connector and I think I needed a 6 or 8.
