I complained to the local council
The councillor reassured me that "the bup stops here"

In fairness, that joke was in one of the tweets shown in the article...

Wouldn't know anything about that, I'm afraid. I'm not a bird...

I thought misspelling was only on this side of the pond.

No, there is misspelling in the UK, but in the US it's systemic and in Canada it's catching on. Being an ex-Brit in Canada, I've been fighting a losing rearguard action for years. My favourites:
Loose instead of lose
"A different tact" (tack)
"A mute point" (moot)
"Chalk full" (chock)
"Per say" and variants instead of "per se" (latin for "as such")

I happily await our future robot overlords. They've got to be smarter than most of the management I've had to deal with.

I would hate to think what the gravel rash would be like if they rolled over on the way down!
Amazing how much speed they picked up. The bottoms of the kayaks must be wrecked, there must have been less than an inch of water in the ditch.

Brain damaged idiots seeking adrenaline rush.

OK, @ahmed-zahmed, one can't say they kayakers are "brain-damaged idiots" followed with the John Q Adams quote of "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader."
OK, yes, one can do such, but only the intellectually-challenged would accept both as true when in the same msg.
Thus, that's when the 3rd quote from 'old Alberto comes in handy!
Especially when 'meriKa keeps voting in the type of leaders it does...

LOL. Whatever you say dude. The signature in my post does not contradict my post at all. In fact, it supports my post. And the third post from Mr. Einstein is especially apropos to the idiots referenced.

On the contrary, the video only show the (imo, thrilling) end-result.
They probably spend hours and and hours planning their stunt; making certain that there was enough water; and more importantly the "landing" was safe and free, as possible, of rocks and other floating dangers.
People have always done things like that, only now, it is possible to see it.
I would totally do that. (if I had lot more experience canoeing/kayaking).
I'd rather be phishing!

You take my post way too seriously. I do think it way dangerous and should not be done by those watching at home. It should only be done by trained idiots.
