I am, considering. I'm under quarantine until monday though. Can't leave the house so I'm going a little stir crazy.
How about you?

My mom was tested positive a few weeks ago. 3 weeks of quarantine, and if I cough (a smoker) another 3 weeks.
None of us will go silent into that dark good night.

I didn't know one could (I'm presuming you compile to a 'native' binary ?) - might make an interesting article - Ive done MicroServices in C#, Ruby, Kotlin, now working on Go(Lang), and worked on QA/Testing a Trade Risk App in Gherkin/Cucumber/Ruby and Gauge/Java, and that's only in the last handfuls of years
Have fun

Well, Python is really just an interpreted language for native C/C++ calls.
That said, there are some excellent REST libraries out there. I wouldn't write a server in Python (or any interpreted language for that matter) that requires handling a lot of calls (what "a lot" means, I've never bothered to explore), but it's great for small stuff.

yes, thanks Marc -

I guess that comes down to 'using the correct tool/hammer for the job' - it may well be that if you know Python and don't have an emphasis on (dare I say 'speed'/latency etc) that it'll do the job, and that's ok

Welcome, I think we can use some Java and Python expertise especially in the Q&A forum.
I think most developers on CodeProject have a .NET or C++ background.

Yesterday the Florida governor said he will allow restaurants in most of Florida to open next week, provided they meet certain social distancing requirements. Well, this morning I had a grocery run, and I noticed that most restaurants were not going to wait till next week. They were open!
So this evening I went to our favorite Indian restaurant to order some curry dishes. Yummy! You weren't allowed into the place. They had a table outside, complete with a credit card terminal, where you placed your take out order. I felt bad when placing the order, because the owner was so grateful for my little order. It was humbling and I wished I could do more for him, so I left him a very good tip.
So I did a tiny bit to help the economy recover.

That was already the case before the virus. Now, the fed talks about "tools" without answering what those tools are.

Summer this time, not winter.
