I don't have the math skills for that.
Ever done an efficient multiply on an arbitrary length FP?
I know it's not easy.
When I was growin' up, I was the smartest kid I knew. Maybe that was just because I didn't know that many kids. All I know is now I feel the opposite.

The best algorithm depends on the size(s) of the mantissa and the size of the machine word. See the MPFR package for details.
I have written multiplication algorithms using the standard O(N^2) method, Karatsuba's O(N^lg3) method, and the Fourier transform O(N*lg(N)*lg(lg(N))) methods.
Recently, an algorithm was described for an O(N*lg(N)) method, but I can't say that I understand it.
The big problems are actually division and square root. They can be implemented using an fma (fused multiply add), which calculates A*B+C with only one rounding (for the addition).
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

I know stuff like division and square root are harder. I couldn't even do multiply.

That's OK; I can't do anything with CodeDOM

LOL
The codedom doesn't require any technical skills. Coding against it is gruntwork. That was the whole point of Slang - to eliminate that. =)

Last week, an uncle died on a plane on his way home to Tenerife.
Had he died a few hours earlier he would've been in the Netherlands (where he'll be buried) and a few hours later he would be with his wife.
Now, getting his body back from the flying company and back to the Netherlands is quite some trouble, I understood.
It's never really a good time to die, but just before the holidays must be extra painful to his wife.
Not only that, today would be his birthday, which Facebook makes sure you remember.
A couple of people left a message "happy birthday and to many more years!"
Not the time, not the place and way to early (he'd be 76 today)
I wasn't close to him by the way, I've seen him once of twice in the past ten years.
Must be a heck of a month for his wife though

There's rarely a good time to go, but ... on a plane, among strangers, just before Christmas?

My condolences to his family and friends.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

RESISTANT?
There's an anagram of STAINS in there, and ABOUT would be RE, but I can't justify the extra "T".

I've been writing code I've been meaning to write for years, and I loved the challenge.
Slang is a cool project even if
A) maybe i can't explain it to anyone
B) maybe i'm the only one that ever uses it
C) maybe it's only even cool to me
And deslang was super cool too even though it was just basically a utility for slang. Serializing code to code - what's not to love?
I used to work with someone that could have appreciated it, but back then I *did* make something like it. It was proprietary because I did it for money, but this version is better. Better designed, better executed, and with some new ideas behind it.
Kinda wish I still did work with that someone right now though. He'd get a kick out of this.
