And by default it is empty...

Thanks, I just found it.
It is indeed, empty...
To be fair it was codeproject that was just unreachable.. and it happens that codeproject sometimes is unexpectedly offline...
I was also listening to online music and it was fine...

You can try
netsh winsock reset (to be executed as an administrator) followed by a reboot, and see if problem persists afterwards.

Just pinged it, and is online.

That IP is most likely the primary IP on your home router; the address on your provider's network (it's likely the DG for the 192.168.1.0 network, and 192.168.0.0 is non-routable by design). This is assuming that you're not too far outside the box in terms of home network design.

I want to forward a photo that came as an attachment as an inline/embedded photo. In MickeySoft Outfark this is annoyingly cumbersome.
- save pic on disk
- open in paint
- select ALL in crop/selection-tool
- copy
- paste in new mail
- delete pic from disk
WTE! Is this really the only elephanting way??
If I just do it the natural way, open attachment (opens in "Photos") copy + paste, it pastes as as an attachment. ARGH!
And googling "outlook convert picture from attachment to inline" gives me 100s links of the exact opposite. ARRRGH!
Ideas?
Thanks

- Save it on disk.
- Go to Insert tab on ribbon
- Click on picture and select your file
- Be happy

I propose to rename Outlook to Look out !
|
|
|
|
|
My wife (and everyone we know) uses LOOKOUT. What a POS like most everything spewed from Redmond of late. I use thunderbird with a contented smug look.

I would not use Outlook privately, in the office we have it for for booking meeting rooms and wotnot.

Save photo somewhere.
Open in Browser.
Right-click -copy image.
Go to email and paste.*
I do this relatively often.
* Caveat: Outsource needs to be in a proper mode. Text-only not so hot. There's HTML and Rich Text.

Maybe so - but that is for the OP to consider. I was just noting that I do what he wishes to do on a routine basis with no problem.
Since inserting one or more images on the page is already in the plan, why would I second guess anything about the recipients?

Switch your settings to open all e-mails as plain text, and embedded images will show up as attachments -- and behave like attachments.

One can only hope that doggy never had to wear such regalia.

Yes, that same outfit has a picture of a cat in a Queen Elizabeth of ye olde style.
I find this type of image as disturbing as humanoid-looking robots.

Yes, make fun of dogs as much as you like, but cats are little deities and must be treated with a little more respect[^].
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.
