I was wondering. I generally follow British spelling, but that one looked OK to me.

I've whittled the moderation queue down to the point where I can see genuine (if plagiarised in one case) articles submitted six hours ago, but they don't seem to end.
What on earth do they think they are getting out of this? Nothing is getting published, so they aren;t earning from it ...

Given the fact that all articles are same, wouldn't it be possible to dismiss them even before they get to the moeration queue?

Maybe the article submissions need an "I am not a robot" button - easier said than done I realise.

aw come on, it's just people doing their job.
there's > 7 million graduates per year in china, they gotta start somewhere.
... just as every young kid everywhere around the world knows the first place to figure out how something works is by smashing it.
perhaps cp could start a forum just for spam? (auto purge every 5 min.)

Yes, they have to start somewhere and they can all start somewhere else.

Maybe they are testing a article on how to automatically submit tips and tricks to CP.

It seems the spam is coming from just a few accounts and I wouldn't be surprised if the posts are automated. You might make things easier for yourself by making a "stealth ban" option where you prohibit the account from posting any articles, tips, or blogs. The account holder won't know anything about it. The site will just swallow anything it posts.
Another option is to flag (ie., notify a responsible person) postings with lots of unicode in their title since it's one thing all of this spam has in common and is rarely seen in legitimate posts.

If you allow any external links or image links and such, they could well be trying to get people to click on, or even just access, nefarious things that they can exploit somehow.

It appears that the spam has slowed down considerably for the moment. You must have banned all of the culprits. They'll probably start signing up again soon.

The question has been up before, but things change and it's time to see if there are any new programs around worth looking at.
