It's very easy: They want to do a lot of transactions and need a lot of computer power to get all this processed. If you dedicate a computer to do some processing for them, you are awarded bitcoins for the work you did for them.

Are you then given the title "miner"?

I'm with you, if it ain't green and it ain't in my hand then I don't want to know about it.

My version of it?
It's the act of wasting power on computations that are for the most part completely useless, and in the unlikely event you do get a bitcoin out of it, you still won't be able to trade it in for anything of tangible value, no matter what its current monetary value is reported to be.

You and me both. I still don't feel like I've missed out on anything.

I'm...not quite sure where this is coming from. You've been registered here for a week, this is apparently your first message, and seems totally out of place in this old thread.

My thoughts? As every day at this time: Mickeysoft sucks, but I'm going to get myself some lunch before I clean this mess up.

Nice one!
Solved by the time I saw it, but still a good clue.

Thank you. I usually fail miserably trying to solve the CCC, and I am not very good (aka useless) at inventing clues.

Creators Update has just pushed to the WookieTab and I thought "well, that went smoothly". I did, really - no problems.
Until I tried to use it ... the touch keyboard button is missing.
OK, find out how to get that back (Long touch the taskbar, select "show touch keyboard button")
And ... it's the basic "useless" keyboard that doesn't have a WIN key, Function keys, or even Up or Down buttons.
"Settings", "Devices", "Add the standard keyboard as a touch keyboard option".
And it's not there any more.
It's now on the "keyboard selector" button. Ah, OK - nice and easy to get to, that's better ... except IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE IF YOU USE A US KEYBOARD LAYOUT NOW.
For 's sake MS - stop making things harder to use for the rest of the ing world you provincial gits!
I'll try and calm down now...

I've had this scenario for a while Paul, when I log in I get the UK keyboard with the £ sign and all the rest but when I select the keyboard on a web page or pretty much anywhere else, in order to get the arrow keys etc I have to select US
