well evening started of fighting outlook interop in a detaching/archiving app.
in short: some code that failed testing a message ref, adding a call to the output a "." to the log file straight after the failing line fixed it(???), replaced that with a sleep - broken again, replaced that by testing the reference for != null [that wasn't the error and it'll never be null to have got this far anyway] fixed it again (???)
okay... (remembered the boy scout motto: sure way to break a working camp fire is try and improve it.)
figured only way to cap off that weirdness: binge watch the new Twin Peaks (S3).
(and in the meantime the apps been burning through a [smaller] 40GB pst for 3.5 hours without hiccup [yes it's slow - it's running and a clients non-SSD machine].)

Well my evening started by having to emergency-defrost my fridge after not shutting the freezing compartment door properly before going out and when I returned I couldn't close it because too much ice had built up..

Oooh yes, thanks. Twin Peaks is something to binge on, that I haven't done so yet. I think I'll re-schedule for much sooner.

Nope, you will have to watch the video until its very end, and take profit of the fact that MP4 videos are automatically rewinded once they have been watched.
And I've read on Mp4VideosFacts that trying to rewind a video before it has been fully watched can dramatically damage the bytes of which it is composed. Better safe than sorry, so.

Can you not stick a pencil in it and spin it round or connect it to a drill to do it quicker....

Make sure you get one for the right region. I understand that US reminders don't work in Europe, and vice versa.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

"...and vice versa" spot on!, they go the other way around ... that'd be like an unrewinder.

You're thinking of Australia.

That too. The Northern Hemisphere rewinders work the other way in the Southern Hemisphere.

Don't buy a cheap one off Ebay. The one I got simply turned the bytes around.

Well that's just stupid, you'd think they would use XOR, so much faster.
