Good job! That is awesome.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

In network properties of the wifi adapter or wired connections on the laptop (depending on what you are using), under the ipV4 protocol options, make sure that your DNS is set for DHCP.
|
|
|
|
|
Every single thing on the computer is on DHCP and the same result...
I've got it at fixed IP addresses and fixed DNS without success.

Have you tried enabling NetBios over TCP/IP?

I hate wifi. I just do. 2 weeks ago I replaced my ancient 802.11g-based router because my wifi connection was becoming the bottleneck for file transfers between PCs on my LAN. Now it's faster, but inevitably 1 out of ~10 web pages I attempt to load (on any browser, on any device) simply fails to load, complaining I have no internet connection. The previous router was rock-solid, in that respect. Started as soon as it got replaced. Hitting Refresh once fixes it, every time. (And then depending on the site I may have to login again, such as my bank - rather annoying).
I never hear anyone complaining about wired connections.
Sorry, did I just make this about me instead of you?
[Edit] There it goes again - I hit Post, my browser thinks I'm not connected.

You can also try to flush ARP table:
arp -d *
and/or reset the winsock catalog and reboot:
netsh winsock reset
A replacement of your WiFi adapter's driver could be useful, too.

Tried it... not working.

You can then investigate your routing tables:
route print
It becomes kind of tricky to analyze from that, if you are not familiar with it. At least, gateway address for WiFi interface for 0.0.0.0 network should be correct, i.e. it should be the gateway address which all other devices are using when then want to reach outside.
A traceroute could give clues, also:
tracert www.anywhere.com
With that, you may identify the point in the routing chain where the issue appears.
