Sander I am not a yoga-guy! But I would like to say, when ever you get into such trouble... Try to stay calm. Hold your anger and maintain your mood. I have used wordpress online only. Because, I don't like PHP and wordpress is giving me another reason to not use PHP ever; I was wondering to learn PHP to use wordpress.
Anyhow, as being a developer, if I don't find a feature. I would create it. From fellows who use wordpress, I have heard that wordpress does allow editing your templates (after purchasing I guess) and adding plugins and so. So, why not create one? I have no idea of actual wordpress, so I might be wrong.
Then, always remember to press CTRL + C, after every successful paragraph; in case of anything going wrong.

Well, it seems you press these buttons very calmly and with a great regularity.
A very typical problem with blog holders.

I think I got it almost set up now. Just need to change a few links here and there to point to my new website

My wordpress (WP) site got hacked by a malware PHP and then it really bugged me that WP is all PHP and it is so complicated to do simple things at times.
I recently began work on creating blog pages which are run by MVC / Web API. Yes, it makes me have to do more work in the beginning to create the blog, but then I'll have a CMS (content mgment system) which I can actually manage myself instead of investing so many hours in understanding how WP works.
I just kind of hate WP now.

I don't need PHP to blog. I can install WP and just get to blogging. I have enough to do as it is, and creating my own CMS is not on that to do list.
Sounds fun to make, but at this point I'm really just interested in writing my blogs

I don't think I could've used any of those on my free WordPress.com account since it didn't enable me to install plugins, one of the reasons I switched to a self-hosted WordPress.

I have a problem with IE failing to display an image under the most bizarre circumstances.
I have posted a question in Q&A but felt the puzzle of it all deserved a wider audience - hence I'm posting a link to my Q&A Question here
What is wrong with the VERY simple html?[^]
in the question is a link to the files I downloaded, and an explanation as to the problem.
This isn't something I need to be fixed - but I am just really curious as to what the cause is!
Kudos to the person who finds the problem!

It took me some time to find Notepad...
I can't see no problem in my end...
I done this:
1. downloaded and extracted you page...
2. downloaded a new image from the web (directly into the images folder, using IE, so blocking is active)
3. edited image name in Notepad
4. refreshed the page
All work well - I can see the new image...
Did you used F12 to see if you have any hidden messages?
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I don't understand this phrase?
This is strange! Can you let me know the URL of the image it worked with, so I can try it with the same image, just in case?
Yes - I've used F12 and nothing of any interest is there!

Another "It's not a bug, it's a feature" thing, yeah?

When you uploaded the image via your FTP client did you ensure that the ASCII option was not checked?
I ask this because I have spent the past three hours trying to figure out why images I was uploading were not displaying correctly, then I discovered by chance that FTP surfer had, under the Tools menu, the ASCII option checked.

Good thought , but no.the image is fine, and duplicating the HTML in another file, displays it OK.

You realize, of course, that while you're doing this, you have to cross dress? The rules are very strict...

I thought I'd been around long enough for you to realize that I never wear clothes while posting on CP!
But you're right - I shouldn't break the guidelines - I have slipped on a baby-doll nighty.
And if I find out who left it on the floor ...

Stupid remark of the day:
Use
./images/myimage.jpg
instead of

If only you knew how many variations of this I tried before finally finding the solution!
