From the article: TMZ calls it "the most tasteless lawsuit we've ever seen." When TMZ calls it tasteless, it's like tasteless², they know tasteless.

True, but she sued first.

"Lombardo's suit is a counterclaim to one Harper filed demanding she be paid for the remainder of her contract because she dropped out for health reasons."
... That were extant before she signed the contract.
Looks like the guy's lawsuit is a "Nice try, Bitch!" response to someone trying to use her health problems to defraud him.
Before signing the contract, she consciously chose to hide the fact that she may not be able to complete it "for health reasons". If one of us did that, would we even ask to be paid for the whole contract after we dropped out, let alone sue for the money?

Yeah but he's more than one of these critera:
1. Rich
2. Media type
3. Famous
4. "Celebrity"
Any combination of any of these almost always results in said person being let off free.

Casual question to fellow Code Project authors...
Does anybody know how the articles that appear in the list on the home page are determined?
It says latest articles... but I never saw mine in the list.
If your article is part of a contest is it excluded from the latest articles list?
Is there any other way to increase visibility of an article?
Maybe I'm just impatient, but its my first article and I was hoping for some feedback.

There are times when articles (and tips and blogs and references) are coming so fast that yours has a few minutes (2-3) on the front page...

It's magic. Also, if you send Sean some top quality olive oil that normally helps 'promote' your work.
You really don't want to know what it takes to get 'featured article'.

Quote: If your article is part of a contest is it excluded from the latest articles list?
Yes the contest articles (especially the latest one on HTML5 & CSS3) does not immediately appear on the home page. It's not always the case, I have seen sometimes it appears out of nowhere.
I'm sure CP might have plans to show up all these contest articles when it gets over (may be)
Thanks,

The list is cached, and if a lot of articles come through between two cache refresh intervals it may happen that your article is washed away by the later articles.
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

This could help you to include the missing features(such as TOC, history) in your article. A Guide To Writing Articles For Code Project[^]
And share your article over web.

Were you in the right section? Did you tag your article for the right language / technology?
As others have said, it can scroll off the list very quickly.
I wish it were two lists, one for new articles (did you uncheck the "this is an update" checkbox when submitting the article???) and one for updates. The updates are rampant and totally drown out the new stuff.
