I thought it was between Brum & Gloucester? Sort of Cotswold-ish. TBH my geography runs out after Yorkshire, all that is generically the south.

I just love these question, they're so ripe for bad jokes! So here goes:
Actually, you have to unlearn a few things. Ethics comes to mind.
As to learning, I suggest you read the last 5 years of Dilbert as preparation for your career.

Hi Sathish,
Jokes aside, the first thing you must learn is research, which apparently wasn't done. Don't get me wrong, I''m writing this with the intent of helping you. Please look at the following links:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_analyst[^]
https://www.udemy.com/blog/business-analyst-job-description/[^]
After understanding the job better, you should pursue more knowledge on the line of business you wish to enter and always maintain yourself update with your IT skills even though the latter won't/shouldn't be as demanding as it is for a system analyst.
Good Luck

Great start, then.
If the OP finds it useful, then that's a task accomplished. This site needs more people like you.

After the 500th "How do I (something that can be Googled in two seconds without imposing on anyone)" request, even the most willing gets sick of people signing up and immediately trying to pervert the Lounge into being their personal counselor.

I agree. We should only be posting CCC, movie quotes, pun threads, and other rubbish here. Asking for career advise here should be discouraged as much as possible.
Mark_Wallace wrote: even the most willing gets sick of people signing up and ...
There's the problem. We're not having many of those "most willing" ones here. The majority are going to post inanely stupid responses that are not even funny. And they don't do any other contribution here anyways. They just respond at every opportunity to mock or insult some poor bastard.
Mind you I did not help this dude myself because I felt that the answers are easily found with a search, and because he needs to ask more specific questions than "what's a business analyst", but I'm glad to see someone who is willing to offer some help.

I do hope that you're beginning to get the picture.
If someone wants to sign up to a message board and immediately treat it like a careers advice centre/CODZ PLEEZ repository, then the CP Lounge is the wrong message board.
There are perhaps umpty-eleven careers advice/CODZ PLEEZ message boards which are fit for that purpose, but, given most of the questions asked, Google is usually the best resource.
The response that you found so admirable to the OP's question itself contained a googled response from an existing member.
We are not here to Google for people. The Google web-site and a keyboard are available for that.

We're not here to Google for others, which I did mentioned too in my previous post.
But we have an unfortunate number of people here who do nothing but mock anyone given an opportunity.

It's very difficult to be nice to the 500th person who decides that it's OK to treat you like a slave who is there to do his bidding, and mockery is far better than other appropriate responses.

I'm not asking you to be nice, and you should feel free to do whatever you think is appropriate.
But I'd rather ignore these people who don't do their homework, and they'll go away because they get no help here.
My point was (again) that there's a large number of people here who will do nothing but mock and insult newbies. I'm pretty sure that a portion of these 'expert regulars' are probably jobless and/or living in their mom's basement.
If there's a group of people who will treat this place like a dumpster by posting inane questions without doing any groundwork, there's another group of people who exist solely to respond to questions like this. Unfortunately, both these people are increasing in numbers.

Two scientists have won the Nobel prize in physics for their work on the theory of the Higgs boson.
Peter Higgs, from the UK, and Francois Englert from Belgium, shared the prize.
I don't trust all these particles, they just make everything up.

That seems very unfair, giving Higgs all the glory.
If there were two awards, why didn't Boson get one?
