So friend of mine had a video on youtube for a long time and one of the commercial music company used it in their song without his consent. They posted song on youtube. Then they filed a complaint to Google and Google took down my friend's video as copyright infringement.
What can he do ?

I should imagine that youtube has records of such things, so he just has to fill out a youtube complaint form to make them look more carefully.

Get a lawyer who is competent with IP issues.

Was the original video featuring your friend's song? As in he sang it? If so, you can sue the other company for copyright infringement. Talk to a lawyer.
