The first episode finally arrived to our shores on the weekend. All the comments seen before were unfortunately all very correct.
I’ve heard of Chris Evans before, although he has never really been on our screens here much before. (It really does bugger belief why he famous.) His voice is like fingernails on a blackboard which sends shivers on my spine and his mannerisms and looks are a bit like Brains from the Thunderbirds (no discredit to Brains intended). But that another story.
My question really, for all you UKians, who by now have seen later episodes is, Does it get any better or are you still having to cringe and quince every time Chris open his mouth, just to get to the tolerable parts of the program he not in?

Nope, only the one.
If episode one had been good, I'd have put a reminder in Sky+ - but it wasn't, and I was watching Breaking Bad instead (long story).
However, the viewing figures would kind of match my experience: List of Top Gear episodes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[^] E01: 6.42 MViewers, E02: 2.80MViewers.
That's bad, for a show that used to get 6 or 7 MViewers every week...

Actually I rather like "Please slow drively!" They should make all the signs that way. While drivers are working it out it may just have the desired effect (well, on the few that actually read signs at all anyway).

I don't know. Some people would need more brainpower than they have at their disposal to "work it out" and drive at the same time.

This reminds me why I hate American humour.
I prefer people to laugh with me, than "Hey! Let's laugh at that guy!"
If it had been themed "Um... Ooops!", rather than "Hey, let's point and sneer at people who made mistakes in things they're not good at!", some of them would have been funny.
Everybody -- including Everybody, i.e. not excluding you and I -- is not good at an awful lot of things.

Most definitely. Google should fix this issue.
Meanwhile you can dump your code in the Q&A forum and demand that someone translates it for you. 
It has happened before.

You probably just need :

Compile using c:\>csc *.txt > .js and you're good to go.

The book I used once upon a time was in Swedish, so it wouldn't help you.

For the Lippman book, some of the reviews state
"C++ Primer, 5th ed. is a great book for an intermediate level C++ programmer. I would NOT recommend this book to a novice"
and
