Yeah, I saw the US had it really hot too the last few weeks.
What is odd for Devon is its proximity to the sea on three sides, and the sea is quite cold still. It really is ridiculously hot!

I can confirm that. Last week we had two days over 100F (38C) and this week is shaping up to be hot as well. My poor air conditioner is struggling to keep up and my electric bill is going to hurt the old wallet.

38 is pretty nasty.
In france last year we got to 42C, no air con, but the house is concrete and built on a concrete slab on the ground, so the downstairs stays OK. The upstairs though.... The heat just drills through the tiled roof.
Mind you with a pool you dont care, provided you dont intend doing much work.

Compressed air and a thorough blow out of the dust and cat hair, and even at 97% utilization on both cores I'm below 50C. Currently 27 / 30% load and 42 / 38C so hopefully all will be fine ...
