I'm thankful that I finally got SharePoint and Visual Studio playing nicely with each other. Only took a conference and 2-3 weeks of frustration. I may even be thankful enough to write an article to make things easier for others.
What are you thankful for (note: I will just assume you are thankful that you don't have to work with SharePoint)?

I'm thankful that I have enough things to be thankful for that I don't have to worry about what to be thankful for.

Nothing wrong with a little meta-thankfulness.

Job, house, family, car, food; the usual stuff.
Also our ever diminishing Liberty.

I often make very large prints from unexposed film, and every one of them turns out to be a picture of myself as I once dreamed I would be.

Ah, SharePoint. Something I am trying to forget, but keeps coming back in my nightmares.

Today, I'm very thankful that my daughter gave me a phone call from Uganda. After spending three days camping in the jungle and photographing gorillas in the wild and being only 100 miles away from the civil war in the Congo, hearing her voice and knowing that she is safe was definitely something to be thankful and grateful for.

On the bright side, she might run into this General trying to move money I keep hearing about.

By "phone call", I assume you mean "carrier pigeon message".

Actually not. It was a real live conversation. She bought a pre-paid phone when she was in the airport in Kampala. It doesn't work everywhere, but where she is in Fort Portal town of about 45,000, the phone works fine. Though there is about a 2 second delay because of all satellites involved, I guess.

I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore, If I tell a joke, you've probably heard it before. But I have a talent, a wonderful thing 'cause everyone listens when I start to sing
I'm so grateful and proud all I want is to sing it out loud
So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me

If your neighbours don't listen to The Ramones, turn it up real loud so they can.
