I used to work with a fellow that needed the latest iSomething as soon as it came out.
He was complaining that they were accelerating the releases (of the iPhone I think), but that didn't stop him from getting the latest and greatest tricked out iDevice.
He spent a small fortune just keeping up with the releases. Not that the last model was bad, he just needed to be able to brag about having the latest release of everything.
Once you lose your pride the rest is easy.

People bragging about owning a phone. - there's something seriously wrong & funny. 
I laugh more at the phone covers that has a wide circular cut on the back to make the Apple logo visible. And the way the iOwners handle the phone feels like they'd be happy with a circular hole on their hands too. That makes the logo visible ALWAYS.

Yeah I've known people like that; they start out weeks or months ahead of release talking about the device until you're ready to strangle them then when they get it they've got to show you every new feature and brag on it for another n weeks until you are so fed up you again want to strangle them.
As I grow older I've found that pleasing everyone is impossible but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.
