The nefarious subliminal messages now saturating media from the goat conspiracy reach a new low here, where they not only violate sheep, that much maligned, and oft-violated species, but also reveal their aspirations to be treated like dogs ! [^].
This wholesale re-write of the history of animal-husbandry and domestication, financed partly by the panjandrums of the mohair industry in cahoots with the Angora tribe, comes complete with the testimonials of paid-for scientists, who are probably are "into" goats because they are satanists.
Shameful, I say. What child was ever lulled gently to sleep by counting goats ? When the sheep-dogs get wind of this, they're not just going to run in circles: no, it's going to be baad.
«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008
As a Capricorn I have to say it's high time the goat was appreciated for its true value and nobility. Too long have the sheep oppressed with impunity, pulling the wool over human eyes and fleecing farmers while ramming home their insidious messages of hate. The truth cannot be hidden much longer. It is time for a caprine Renaissance! Shame upon all those who deny it!
I agree we should make a stand for the noble goat, but one with a rotisserie and a charcoal pit.

Me too, except it's still almost 24 hours for me. I'll be departing for there at an ungodly hour tomorrow morning.
Might do Thursday arrival next year if they end up starting extra early on Friday again (and not with filler panels); will depend on what the job situation looks like then.
I registered soon enough to get an on-site room; although as sprawlly as the ChooChoo is, it probably matters less there than at most others.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies.
