Poland, a large city. Corrently it's 80 PLN (~19 USD) for 300/30 Mbps optic fiber, but recently they called me with a new offer – 1000/100 Mbps for 20 PLN (~5 USD) more.
It's even faster than advertised too, I often get 320/40 Mbps (according to Speedtest).
From reading / hearing it on the news, I was one those people who went "bit O Gaffa, it be alright" and dang me if that not what they used! Mind you if I was in that situation, I would want to go the whole hog and chop a finger off my glove and do a Watney!
...I moved to another town.
A few weeks ago I mentioned that my Internet speeds were hanging out around 5MBPS even though I pay for 100 MBPS. Spectrum came out and physically stared at the incoming cable but staring at it didn't seem to do anything so the tech left.
I knew I was moving so I gave up on caring about it.
Anyways, I am a new place, a new town and there is :
1 cable buried in the ground that comes up to my house.
Out of that one cable I ran a cable inside to the cable modem. No splitters, nothing else.
I also bought a quad-core tri-band router Linksys AC2200.[^]
I now get 114 MBPS over direct connect from cable modem. We have 3 people streaming UHD tv, PlayStation games and various other stuff and everything is fast.
So, if you're having problems, just move to a new city.
If I had had a coffee... my monitor would be probably dirty right now
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
