If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.
I was told a few months ago about a couple of regional trade shows coming up next month. I just got around to checking the exact dates.
The first one (in 2 weeks) interferes with a trip the wife and I had scheduled to go see the new (6 m/o) grandson. Strike one!
The second one (in just over a month) interferes with a long planned rival college football game and weekend visit with my brother-in-law and wife. Strike two!
The missus is not happy...at all!
To be fair, all events mentioned were scheduled without my input. Also, not going to the tradeshows is not an option....one of the pitfalls of being a small company.
Also, to be fair, we've just returned from an awesome trip to Colorado and a month before that Jamaica. Additionally, the in-laws were here for a wedding/weekend two weeks ago. Besides, it's just a game, and the team sucks this year anyway.
Three days in a row!
Summer's officially over and fall has begun!
Just a few days more and I can turn on the heating again.
I LOVE IT!!!
I have to scrape stucco from the bedroom walls so it can be wallpapered
Now that legitimately sucks...
I pay people to do that sort of thing, no way in hell I'm doing that myself
Now before you go "that's expensive blah blah...", I have two options: pay someone to do that for me or pay someone to fix the wall afterwards.
My last "big house renovation" was hanging a spice rack which took me over six months of procrastinating because I had to (buy and) use a drill
Sound advice, but luckily it's only one wall that has to be done, we want to cover up some nasty cracks.
Wallpapering seems to be very easy nowadays, you can just put the glue on the wall and stick the glass fiber wallpaper on it.
Yeah, I know it's supposed to be very easy.
I'm still hiring someone
I painted one wall in my own house, one small wall in the kitchen.
It was horrible, I had do it over and when I was done (for the second time) it still looked like sh*t and I realized I forgot to fill up some holes.
I couldn't be bothered by doing it a third time so I just left it like that.
Lesson learned: next time, hire someone even for one small wall!
I've never wallpapered in my life, but getting it off is enough hassle to hire someone to do it all.
And I have a similar experience in the garden
I'm just not made to work with my hands (unless it's at a keyboard)
What can I say? Some of us are made for honest (== hot, sweaty, dirty, outside) work, and some aren't
Small jobs (e.g. filling in some cracks, painting a wall) I do myself. Anything to do with electricity or water is done by professionals. Wallpapering is right at the limit of my abilities, so I'd hire someone to do the job. Life is too short to live with minor aggravations like crooked wallpaper etc.
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

I do lots of dishonest work.
Like groceries, they're all like "this is a good time to come and get us!" and then it's all busy at the store or it starts raining.
Or starting the dishwasher, which is all like "I need some brightener!" and then I get the brightener, but it's actually near full.
And of course coding, and the code is looking compilable, but then I get all kinds of compile errors.
Or worse, the compiler works and tells me the software is good to go, but when I run it I get runtime errors.
Whenever I would go into a neighborhood to work 2 things would happen within a day or two; 1. The sound of men in the area using power tools and the resulting dirty looks I got from them, 2. Women asking me how much I would charge to do such and such that they've been trying to get their husbands to do forever.
Got a lot of work that way.
1. A person that fixes stuff you can't.
2. One who does precision guesswork based on unreliable data provided by those of questionable knowledge.
Government can give you nothing but what it takes from somebody else. A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you've got, including your freedom.-Ezra Taft Benson

I've fallen sick and the rain is making me even more sick. I tripped over the stairs (nothing big just a few small injuries), already gotten a warning mail for missing squash practices and have 2 homework due for my Masters classes. (Did i mention my attendance is falling short as well )
And all I'm doing is sitting here; Heartbroken (since my boyfriend asked me not to talk to him anymore); and writing reply to the forum messages.
