I believe it is when your wife/spouse is sitting next to you when you are driving and starts to "correct" you and warns abput being too close to that car, to people walking by, to the traffic lights and signs, to bikes and dogs passing by, etc., etc., etc.
...dealing with retards today. Normally, I can (just) barely stand them, but today, the idiots are really disturbing my calm.

They do seem to come in packs don't they. When I notice it, I also notice that the more intelligent people seem to hide at these times. I figure I should do the same if possible. Heaven help the person in their way. They flock or school together. New York and San Fran seem to suffer from an over abundance.

Yesterday was really the most my patience has been tested in a while...
At half past quitting time, my business partner was busting my balls over font sizes/layout/nav in a web report that has been available for review/criticism for months! I was tired, hungry, and had missed a deadline for an important phone call.
Normally, that kind of stuff doesn't get to me, but she had already wasted half of my day helping get sql 2017 on her laptop and getting her started on a new web reporting project. Then of course I had to pay attention and participate in the tutorials...which brought on a new stress...
The new reporting tools require .NET 4.6 which means I can't use my beloved VS 2010...so I'm using VS 2019 which is really slow by comparison, but still better than 2017. Anyhow, following the tutorials was fine, but certain actions from the report component's smart tag were locking up VS for up to 5 minutes. I'm sure there's a lot happening under the hood, but it seems excessive. Even debugging is way slower than 2010. I guess that's the price you pay for progress!
Thanks for the opportunity to rant, I feel better now!
...and just as a parting shot, yesterday morning I got an email from another software company dev regarding a common client and a couple of exports they wanted to test. The client was really in a pinch and needed to get this working yesterday. I called client, get a remote started and setup my parts, created exports from other vendor, test one - success, test second - roadblock. Client says will call me after lunch for retest. I worked through lunch to address the problem, redeploy the import and expect a call which never came. Not even now, halfway into the next day...I guess it wasn't that important after all. Meanwhile, I've got the other company's reps that want a status report, which I'm about to send that says I'm waiting.
