Two 17"ers. As with others here, I use one for coding and the other for the application/website I'm developing. I can't stand things being windowed, everything I use has to be maximised.
For other parts of my job it's also useful to have two word docs or spreadsheets open for comparison, it's like having one of those page stand thingys.

You don't have to be mad to live here [UK], but it helps.
