I used to work with industrial printers: The most comforting thing I have seen was UK sales manager (and general purpose PITA) trying to fix a leaking machine then vigorously scratching his itchy back - in a £50 shirt.

I've just been coming to the same conclusion myself. I have the new Office, OS's and VS (and Expression, etc). I don't really see any reason to do anything besides maintaining partner status; I won't be spending any more money on it until I see some new justification.
None that make any sense to a sane person... MSDN is one of the worst values in the development industry. It simply costs too much for what you don't get.
