How is the battery life on the bluetooth headset?
As far as driving. Why not just use speakers with Siri so you don't look like this guy: [^]

Not sure yet, just started using them. After a full charge, I listened to them for about an hour last night and for about 2 hours so far today. The front of the box says it has 20 hours of talk time, but the back says it has 8 hours of talk time (150 hours standby).

Is it possible to activate Siri without holding the home button on the iPhone? With the bluetooth headset I have, I just press the call button twice to active Siri (which means I don't have to hold or reach for my phone).

I was curious if they stay charged for a whole working day/shift. How long do they take to charge?
Also, I've never used Siri in my life. I do have a hatred of those BlueTooth head pieces. One because I wore them at work for years, and also because some assholes choose to look like a twat and wear them in social situations.

It should, in theory.
wizardzz wrote: How long do they take to charge?
IIRC, the box said 2-3 hours. Somebody else mentioned they have a similar pair that takes less than an hour.

Reminds me of an awkward moment a few years ago. I was lounging on the couch when my uncle (aunt's husband) walked in the room. He then stood in front of me and, without looking at me directly, said "I love you." I had never really talked to the guy, and I got pretty uncomfortable. Then he hung up with my aunt using his bluetooth headset (on an ear I couldn't see).

Okay, so now I do need an earpiece, just to be able to say weird sh*t to people, then pretend I'm on the phone.

Could make a good entry for a comedy show. Walk up to a few audience members, tell one "wow, what an idiot", laugh at another, and tell another "I'll see you later, babe", and then go on some tirade about Bluetooth assholes.

I've been using a pair of Motorola S305 for a couple of years now. I LOVE them. I use them all day, and they charge in less than an hour.

Those look pretty similar to mine, the Kinivo BTH220. I believe the box said they take 2-3 hours to charge. I may buy a second pair for at-home use (currently planning on using mine at work exclusively). That way, the time to charge would be unimportant (I can just let my home pair charge while I'm at work, and my work pair charge while I'm at home).
What I'm most curious to try is connecting to multiple devices (iPhone, PS3, Mac). I've read that some bluetooth headsets don't work nicely when you do that (e.g., you may have to re-pair to old devices).

The only time I've had issues pairing to multpile devices (iPhone 4S, iPad 3, iPod Touch 3rd gen) was when 2 of the devices are in the vicinity. I just shut bluetooth off on the device I don't want to use. I can't remember ever having to re-pair...

I just started using Bluetooth in my car for calls...except the Bluetooth is built into my car, it's not a headset, so I don't have any recommendations that would help you there.

Well, you could put it in your mouth or some other orifice, but it might be harder to hear that way.

I prefer on-ear rather than in-ear or over-ear headsets.

The stereo I just put into my car allows me to play pandora(or any other music service) over bluetooth along with hands-free use of the phone and S-Voice (Samsung's version of Siri). It's pretty awesome.

It's more than just that hobby. In early high school, pharmacology was a serious career option for me. The times I wish I had gone that route.

To round out a full developer's curriculum they need to spend at least a week on caffeine.
I recently had a conversation with one of my few developer friends about caffeine, the amount he takes on a daily basis startled me (he takes caffeine pills), until I began to add up my intake (through soda).

My caffeine intake is pretty much zero. I don't drink coffee at all. I probably have around 3-4 sodas in a week, and most of the time it is either root beer or Sierra Mist, both of which are caffeine free.
My liquid intake is pretty much limited to lots of water, some beer, and some bourbon.

As a result of my HTML5 experiment[^], I have been asked to come up with something that looks better than this website:

Coming up with something that looks better shouldn't be too hard, but there are a lot of chiefs in the tribe, if you know what I mean. I might end up going quietly insane.
BTW, I have since addressed the IE9 and Opera problems in the HTML5 thing, and also found out it works fine on Windows Phone 7.5.
