Sure and it is unenforceable so it undermines the credibility of the legal system (I know it has no credibility now), undermines to confidence of the enforcers (police, inspectors, whoever) and reduces to effectiveness of society.
I know it is only a small thing but these stupid bastards need to be taken out and garroted, waste of a good bullet!
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity
Unlocking a phone that you only have under a contract which says you can't is breach of contract and ought to be illegal, though I suspect it will be the same kind of 'illegal' as speeding and smoking weed (i.e. nobody really cares enough to report you). But I don't see how they can put legal restrictions on what you can do with a device you own outright and which isn't under contract.
Two days ago I despaired of finding any ammunition for my new rifle. Online I went to find reloading presses and dies, but I located only one in stock - an RCBS turret loader kit at Cabelas. I finally decided today to order the set, after much waffling about spending the money right now. Would you believe that today, Cabelas is out of stock, and the manufacturer has discontinued that set. Grrr....
So, a bit more searching, dodging my way around our nanny firewall at work that blocks any sites that mention weapons for some reason, I found another dealer with the same set, in stock, and $50 cheaper! It's ordered, and on the way. Better yet, the set comes with a certificate for 500 free bullets!
This made me think of a line from Justified[^]. Main character is asked why he threw a bullet at a bad guy. He responds, "To send a message." When asked what message he could possibly be sending by throwing a bullet, he says, "I told him the next one will come faster."

I ordered a book yesterday from a supplier in the US. Later that afternoon, she sent me the tracking number given to her by FedEx and with it, the link so I could see where the package is. FedEx itemise everything I need to know. The only thing missing was an update telling me the pilot went for a sh*t.
If only job agencies could be as professional as delivery firms are with their tracking. Then again, recruitment consultants are on a par with lawyers, estate agents and dog owners who let their pets dump on the pavement.
