A restaurant near here uses a similar system for its ceiling fans, there's one motor and the rest are connected by a series of pulleys. It's interesting to see alternative ways of accomplishing things we take for granted.
It reminded me of a commercial for Kayak.com where one guy was sitting on the couch with two dummies on either side of him. They are all connected by wooden rods, and typing on their own computers to to "search multiple sites for the best travel deals..."
Debugging is twice as hard a writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

I've spent a couple of weeks now with VS2012 and have found the only really, really annoying thing is the new dialog which replaces the old Find in Files dialog. Does anyone know of a way to make it more like previous version of VS?
A certain dragon themed firewall that's running on my network gateway machine just auto updated an hour ago. I've now spent an hour scratching mt head, checking logs and rebooting machines to work out why the bleeeeeeep the laptop would no longer do dns lookup while all the desktops would
Looks like the firewall decided to start blocking my some but not all the traffic of my DHCP server without telling me, showing it anywhere in the UI or providing any option not to do it. The laptop was was the only machine getting its address by DHCP so everything else worked fine.
I know its free and all that but what itchy fingured twerp with nothing better to do decided that would be a good idea I only use it anyway because its the only thing I've found that stops Microsoft from killing my TV every six weeks but that's another tale of woe.
Right, rant over now

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I think there is a massive amount of spam in the Quick Answers section. Personally I really wouldn't want to see any NFL stuff! Out of interest, is there any protection on the site or planned retinal scans per post to crack down on SPAM HAM?
Yes, now in Lounge. I really fail to see the point. Do people really follow any of the links? anyway, i'd like to setup a new network. "MAPS"! This network will be responsible for reversing the tyranny that is SPAM!
