Basically it is not a problem that the BIOS configured to RAID as long as it does not holds the startup back...

There is away to move from RAID to AHCI, but it involves registry edit...In any case, and at your own risk...
Set these two values to 0, then restart the computer...Go directly to BIOS and set AHCI
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci\Start
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Start
It worked for a Dell E6510...
