 The traditional - and entirely wrong - approach is: ``` G = 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + ... 1 - G = 1 - (1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + ...) = 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - ... = G 1 = 2G 1 / 2 = G``` The correct answer is that the series doesn't have a sum in any meaningful sense.
