My Dad passed just over a month ago from cancer, my mother-in-law passed about 3 months ago from an aneurism and there's a funeral today for a good friend of my wife.
My wife and I both work excessively...I've had a Saturday job for over 10 years now, which leaves me only Sunday to spend with her. Almost four years ago, we bought our dream home with a pool and an acre lot that pretty much demands at least one day a week for yard and pool maintenance, so there goes Sunday. The point is, we used to golf every weekend...now it's once or twice a year.
So, I've resolved to quit my Saturday job and spend more time with my wife who deserves it. btw, my last round of golf was with my Dad just 6 months ago. Even on chemotherapy he still bested me! That's one goal now I shall never attain.
You are right, life is too short and unpredictable not to enjoy every day. Cheers!
Time does not affect God. He is still the same holy, amazing, kind God He was when He created the world. No matter how uncertain your life looks, you can trust in God’s constant love and faithfulness (Psalm 100:5).
He has always been here and He always will be.
