And I rather liked the newer Planet of the Apes movies.
The very latest versions are pretty good but looking at the original film - it was brilliant and shocking and very well done with an excellent twist. Based on a pretty good book - Monkey Planet by Pierre Boulle who also wrote Bridge over the River Kwai.

Having seen the original when it was released (at a drive in I believe) I certainly enjoyed it but now I can recognize that although the idea was good the execution wasn't as good as it could have been. I am rather certain that they were not really striving for that either. However, the newer ones strive for the second part of that better.
So I was going through the motions of looking at what it might cost to attend the IBM Think 2018 conference in Las Vegas.
Of course, before you can look at what the costs are, you have to "register", meaning, get an IBM ID.
turns out if I had scrolled down I would have seen the prices. Ouch. $2,295. Drives me nuts how all that whitespace is useless, you have to scroll to see the costs. Intentional design, no doubt. Page here[/edit]
I was impressed -- lightning fast web page, as soon as I entered my email address it said it was sending a confirmation code, very reactive, etc.
I enter the confirmation code and click on "Sign up for an IBMid"
Open the Chrome debugger and what do I see?
