Embedding a Flash application (I know) training module into an application.
I slowly realize, to my horror, that it will be impossible to directly implement the SCORM API directly in my SPA code. Even though they're all written in the same language, they simply will not talk to one another. I need to create...an adapter.
So we have a Flash app, with a JS adapter, with a JS adapter, with a JS adapter, with a JS engine, which talks to my C# back end, with a SQL back end, and whatever meta-language reality is written in. I skipped a few, I know.
I plan to be hung over tomorrow.

Don't get me started on how much I love CP, I'm surprised that these young junior devs don't really know about this place. They'd rather watch programming tutorial videos on YouTube . How am I supposed to pause the video, or find the exact step I'm looking for ? Maybe you guys like to watch them, but I'd rather read an article with links to more info .
It's the right type of humor for otherwise terribly uninspired article titles. It takes real talent to be this consistent. I, for one, really appreciate it, and I'm generally not the type who praises others just because.
Those tidbits make me look forward to the newsletter every day, and that's saying a lot.
I also found an excuse to send it to someone: The "Last Visual Foxpro Developer", which, by the way, would make a good title for an historical drama, Discovery Channel series, or featurette on Sesame Street.
