The Lounge is rated Safe For Work. If you're about to post something inappropriate for a shared office environment, then don't post it. No ads, no abuse, and no programming questions. Trolling, (political, climate, religious or whatever) will result in your account being removed.
it is the winter solstice now, a time where, in many cultures, rites and holidays celebrate the eventual return of the sun and life, and unite us in, help us to remember, our deeper humanity in the face of, in counterpoint to, the "gathering dark."
If you value the Lounge as a place for sharing, caring, informing, entertaining, and connecting our community with insight, wit, timely news, and discussions that are technical but also go to issues beyond ...
if you think this:
4. No politics (including enviro-politics[^]), no sex, no religion. This is a community for software development. There are plenty of other sites that are far more appropriate for these discussions. Or if you must, use the Back Room[^] - but enter at your own risk.
5. Nothing Not Safe For Work, nothing you would not want your wife/husband, your girlfriend/boyfriend, your mother or your kid sister seeing on your screen. For those discussions where you wish to be a little more frank, use the Soapbox[^]
6. Any personal attacks, any spam, any advertising, any trolling, or any abuse of the rules will result in your account being removed.
means something ...
I urge you to join me in reporting the recent thread on the tragic death of a Dutch young woman as abuse on the Spam and Abuse forum: [^]
And, I wish you, and your families, wholly happy days, and/or holy days.

I don't find it. I suppose it was either deleted or moved to other place... or I am blind and need more
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.
By and large, the right leaning people have good jobs, 2.5 kids, a home and 2 cars. Not rich, but comfortable and free to work hard to chase the American dream of peace and some prosperity. They are known as the silent majority. Minding our own business. Voting their conscious. Generally content people.
The left leaners are told the above individuals need to give up some of their dream to those on the left who have less, largely because they don't work hard or are generally unskilled so payed less if they do indeed do work hard. You see them in the streets with signs and yelling. gathered by the super rich who incite them to do so and curry their votes come election time telling them they will work for them to achieve "equality", when in fact after it's all done, go back to their gated communities and sip fine wine.
And that's how we get along. Decade by decade.
